Most of the other shift algorithms in the H3000 would probably be achievable with other plugins in the Eventide bundle. The Eventide H3000 Factor plugin would be useful for these sort of open-ended effects. Kind of like a Synthi-AKS, but dedicated to effects processing. These are essentially small yet cool modular effects processors, with the ability to route things in all sorts of directions. Honestly, they might be a hard sell in 2018, unless your name is Brian Eno - these are super versatile algorithms for power users, but they aren't really powerful enough to produce super lush & dense reverbs, and it is far easier to set reverb delay lengths to a bad state than a good state.Įno might have made a lot of use of the "Mod Factory" algorithms as well. I don't know of any direct plugin equivalent of the H3000 "Swept" algorithms, as far as the number of parameters goes and the ability to dial things in at the lowest level. This allows for the Swept Reverb to be used as, say, a cool chorus or flanger, or as some weird metallic sound that isn't exactly reverb. These algorithms are much simpler than most modern plugin reverbs (only 6 delay lines for each algorithm), but you have control over ALL the low level parameters. I had a specifically Eno/Lanois related question earlier today concerning these plugins from a customer, so I'm going to be lazy and answer those questions here as well:Īs far as I can tell, Eno made heavy use of the Swept Combs and Swept Reverb algorithms in the H3000. from ÜberMod, but they are obtained in a different way than you would get them in an H3000. You can get a lot of modulated reverb sounds, flangers, chorus, etc. ValhallaÜberMod is more like an expanded Ultra-Tap algorithm, but true stereo, with every delay tap modulated (in a way inspired by the Dimension-D) and with modulated diffusion. The H3000 had Crystal Echoes for a shimmer-type sound, but it is different than the early 80s Eno/Lanois shimmer - it is much closer to the late 80s "All I Want Is You" sound (probably because an H3000 was used on that track). ValhallaShimmer doesn't really map to any of these - it is closer to the Black Hole algorithm w/added pitch shifting.

The H3000 hardware had a TON of different algorithms in there. Once they've arranged a worthy set of custom challenges, players can share their creations online.I know a little bit about the H3000, and a bit more than that about the Valhalla plugins. On foot, characters can interact with the environment and move objects, dragging makeshift rails and ramps into place to create an ideal line or gap. Skaters are off their board for more than just falls in Skate 2, however.

Mongocorp private security forces have taken control of many of the city's best skating spots, and so Skate players once again must fight the power and incite a skating renaissance, by completing missions and mastering new moves. Unlike the uncontested parks and highways in Wii's Skate It, the city streets in Skate 2 are not an open-world playground for boarders. Following the tumultuous events alluded to the series' Nintendo spin-off, Skate It, Skate 2 takes place five years after the first game, in an evacuated city that has been torn apart by earthquakes.
